King Charles honours Queen Elizabeth’s legacy with heartfelt move
The British monarch pays moving tribute to Queen Elizabeth’s legacy
King Charles recently honoured his late mother, Queen Elizabteh II, with a heartwarming gesture in her loving memory.
The British monarch contributed over £50,000 for roof repairs at the late queen's favourite churches, according to the latest annual financial report, the Daily Mail reported.
After launching a fundraising campaign for St Peter and St Paul Parish Church in West Newton, Norfolk, Charles personally donated £50,900 last year.
The Grade II listed church, located on the Royal Sandringham Estate, was often attended by the late Queen for Sunday services before her passing in September 2022 at the age of 96.
Additionally, Elizabeth used to organise an annual prize-giving ceremony for choristers and local primary school children at West Newton Village Hall every first Sunday of February.
The church has historical royal connections, as the royal family once contributed to its restoration after it fell into disrepair.
It was rebuilt in 1881 by architect Arthur Blomfield, yet it still preserves its 14th-century tower and 15th-century font.
