Blake Lively loses millions in ongoing legal battle

Blake Lively has reportedly lost millions in the legal battle against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, before their case has even begun formal proceedings.

While Lively and Baldoni’s official battle will begin at a New York courthouse in March 2026, PEOPLE unveiled the report which estimated the Gossip Girl alum’s financial losses so far to be “over $56 million in lost earnings and $71 million in lost business profits”.

Published on November 7, the publication’s report cited a court filing from July which detailed that Lively suffered further damage of up to $34 million in “reputational harm”. While the filing was made public on November 5, it also revealed that the disclosed numbers “are preliminary and will be subject to proof via expert testimony”.

Moreover, the Betty Booze founder is seeking “compensation for punitive damages, attorney’s fees and emotional distress” from the accused.

From his side, Justin Baldoni’s legal team recently released footage which confirmed that Blake Lively had improvised a kiss in one of their film’s scenes. Whereas Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a subsequent smear campaign against her.
