Duchess of Edinburgh turns heads in striking fashion during Peru trip
Duchess of Edinburgh has travelled to Peru for some engagements
During her South and Central America visit, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, embraced a versatile wardrobe that showcased her polished taste while also keeping comfort in mind.
Visiting on behalf of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the 60-year-old British royal family member began her tour in Peru on November 10, with upcoming stops in Panama, Guatemala, and Belize.
Her itinerary is packed with meetings with political leaders, cultural events and initiatives tied to her long-standing advocacy for people with visual impairments.
What did Sophie wear for her fomal appearance?
On November 14, she made her most formal appearance yet, arriving at the Government Palace in Lima before meeting Peru’s president, José Jeri.
Sophie opted for a sophisticated and elegant Erdem look for the meeting, a choice that caught the attention of Royal fashion admirers.
She stepped out in Erdem’s Violetta’s draped midi-dress, a black and white floral dress finished with delicate touches and a smooth boat neckline.
The Duchess styled the elegant look with a deep blue Sophie Habsburg Moneypenny clutch along with Jimmy Choo’s Rosalia 65 pumps.
Talking to Hello! Magazine, Royal stylist, Gabrielle Mai, shared, "This look from the duchess is a great example of how practical outdoor dressing can still feel considered and quietly elegant."
"The lightweight floral blouse brings softness without fuss, perfectly suited to a humid, forested setting, while slim neutral trousers keep the silhouette clean and functional."
