Prince Harry’s Canada trip causes massive misunderstanding with Buckingham Palace?
Prince Harry’s Canada trip coincided with William's Earthshot Prize week
In a shocking turn of events, it seems like Buckingham Palace is disputing details of Prince Harry’s recent visit to Canada, despite resistance from his team.
Earlier this month, the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex visited Toronto, attending events marking Remembrance Day.
For the unversed, the UK observes Remembrance Day on November 11, which is equivalent to the United States’ Veteran Day, commemorated on the same day.
According to People, Palace aides were reportedly caught off guard by King Charles’s youngest son’s trip to Canada, even though Harry’s team claims they had notified them.
The Duke’s team announced the Canada trip on November 3, just as Prince William arrived in Rio for Earthshot Prize week, saying royal communications staff had been briefed ahead of time.
But the Palace aides narrate a different story, claiming they were blindsided by the news.
It has also been reported that Harry had seemingly proposed sharing his official schedule with the Royal Family earlier this year, a gesture that could be seen as an olive branch to ease the ongoing tensions between him and the Royal family.
It was designed to provide clarity and prevent clashes between Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s outings, and the Royal family’s schedule, avoiding or at least minimizing claims of trying to upstage one another.
