Kim Kardashian recently shared the intense emotional and mental pressure she experienced while studying for the California bar exam.

On Sunday, November 16, the 45-year-old reality TV star turned to her Instagram handle to share the anxiety-inducing moments leading up to the test that would determine whether or not she would become a lawyer.

Although Kim previously revealed that she did not pass the exam, she opened up further in her latest post.

“I’ve shared so much of this journey with you, and this summer I documented some of the final two weeks of studying — the ups, the downs, and everything in between,” she wrote in the caption.

The SKIMS owner added, “On November 7th, I found out I didn’t pass the bar. It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end. This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I’m going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there.”

The video begins with Kim sitting on her bed, shedding tears, before rewinding to two weeks before the test.

In the following clips, she gives a sneak peek into how much hard work went into preparing for the exam, which consists of five one-hour essay questions, one 90-minute performance test and 200 multiple-choice questions.

“Every time I feel like I’m a step ahead, something happens to try to stop me from doing this,” the mother of four said while breaking down in tears.

Kim continued, “A part of me just wants to stop. I just feel like my brain’s gonna explode and I still have so much more to go.”

Despite the hurdles, she stayed committed to achieving her goal.

“I feel really good about everything. My body feels good — it feels way better than it has in previous days. I feel good, like, I feel prepared,” the socialite said before the test.

It is worth noting that Kim Kardashian will be able to retake the California bar exam in February 2026. She needs a score of at least 1390 to pass.
