Prince William and Kate Middleton’s new “forever home”, Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, is priced at a whopping £16 million — 59.4 times the standard amount for a British property.

In comparison to Forest Lodge’s monetary value, an average estate in the UK costs around £269,000, according to GOV.UK.

The couple plans to stay at the residence for the remainder of their lives, with GB News reporting that “the Prince of Wales intends to remain there even when he becomes King.”

William and Kate had previously ignited considerable backlash when the renovations for their new home were unsettling their neighbours in Windsor.

While GB’s royal correspondent, Cameron Walker, further revealed that “extra taxpayer money potentially needs to be spent on making the property secure”, as Forest Lodge is not “in the Windsor Castle, so-called Ring of Steel” and therefore, not under the direct protection of Metropolitan Police.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton were newly confirmed to be attending the Royal Variety Performance on Wednesday, November 19.
