Elon Musk is hinting at a possible collaboration between Apple and xAI just as excitement builds around Prometheus, the new AI venture backed by Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Tesla and SpaceX CEO responded to a user suggesting that Apple should integrate Grok 4.1 into Siri.

The xAI chief replied, “I’m down,” signaling openness to pairing xAI with Apple’s long-standing voice assistant.

The comment immediately sparked speculation, especially as conversations around Project Prometheus, Bezos’s new AI initiative, continue to intensify.

The potential collaboration comes at a moment when some investors argue that Apple needs a major leap in AI to stay competitive against rivals deploying more advanced models.

Recently, Ross Gerber, co-founder of investment firm Gerber Kawasaki, suggested that Apple should replace Siri with Alphabet's AI model, Google Gemini.

Musk’s remark follows earlier hints that xAI and Tesla could eventually converge despite shareholders rejecting a formal investment tie-up this year.

Industry observers also noted that such a project could directly challenge the goals of xAI, raising the stakes even further.

Meanwhile, Musk has escalated his rivalry with Bezos, calling him a “copycat” after reports that Prometheus aims to build physics and engineering-focused AI systems.
