Kate Middleton skips Windsor reception for Early Childhood event highlighted by Kensington Palace
Kate Middleton addressed Future Workforce Summit at Centre for Early Childhood
Kate Middleton stepped out in flawless business attire to attend the 2025 Future Workforce Summit at Royal Foundation’s Centre for Early Childhood on November 18 — the same day King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince William attended guests at Windsor Castle’s Diplomatic Reception.
Footage from the Princess of Wales’ appearance and address at the summit was shared via Kensington Palace’s official Instagram page.
“We believe that we must do all we can to create the conditions for love to flourish. That is how we invest in our future,” the post’s caption highlighted Princess Kate’s words from her speech.
“A brilliant day highlighting the vital role businesses can play in early childhood. The focus was clear: to ensure the next generation develops the uniquely human skills needed to thrive in a world of rapid technological change, we need to focus on the earliest years of life,” the description further stated.
Meanwhile, other senior members of the royal family tended to the festivities over at Windsor at “an annual event hosted by the sovereign”, which is “organized to recognize the members of the Diplomatic Corps in London, one of the largest in the world”, according to PEOPLE.
“Tonight’s Diplomatic Reception will be the first time that the bash has been held at Windsor Castle since 2001, bringing the event back to the castle for the first time in 24 years,” it was further reported. Buckingham Palace, the usual venue for the reception, is currently undergoing renovations.
Kate Middleton had last attended the event in 2023, skipping last year’s reception due to her recuperation following cancer diagnosis.
