King Charles launched the Coronation Food Project in 2023 and two years later, the philanthropic cause is celebrating its “extraordinary” results.

The King Charles III Charitable Fund, who had kickstarted the initiative with a donation, has hailed Coronation Food Project on its official Instagram account as “Inspired by the vision of His Majesty The King”.

“The Coronation Food Project was launched to tackle food waste and reduce hunger, working with partners @thefelixproject, @fareshareuk and the Institute of Grocery Distribution,” the post’s caption further revealed.

Noting that in just two years, “the results have been extraordinary”, the fund’s description also listed Coronation Food Project’s multiple achievements.

“50 food businesses have come together to find new ways to ensure frontline charities have a regular supply of food, unlocking 11 million meals,” stated the first of the three achievements. The other one included “3 Coronation Food Hubs” in Birmingham, Merseyside, and London, “helping to get more food to people in need by boosting infrastructure and capacity”. While the third highlighted “£900,000 in grants” awarded for “supporting grassroots efforts to tackle food waste and help those facing food insecurity”.

The newly released footage for the King Charles-founded Coronation Food Project featured several highlights from the two years of its success.
