Ashley Tisdale marks a new chapter in her marriage with Christopher French

It appears to be that Ashley Tisdale is stepping into an exciting new chapter in her married life.

On Monday, November 17, the 40-year-old actress took to her TikTok account to reveal that from now she will be adopting her marital surname professionally, changing her social media handles to Ashley Tisdale French.

The Disney alum, who married Christopher French back in 2014, said in the clip, "I've been Ashley French for so long at home, but I really never changed it publicly because everyone knows me as Ashley Tisdale.”

"But I just felt like it was time for people to know me for me and not just a character, or like a celebrity," she said.

The High School Musical actress, “For so long, I have shared so much of my life on social media. At this point, you don't know what's real, what's a bot. And everyone has something to say, and it might not be positive. I felt like, in order to protect my peace, I didn't want to keep sharing in that way."

Along with her name change, Ashley also gave an update on her beauty brand Being Frenshe, which drew inspiration from her marital surname.

Fans took to the comment section to express their excitement, "Omg so exciting! I love all of Franshe. Cashmere Vanilla is top tier! I’m a nursing student so if you ever do a giveaway, keep me in mind."

"Frenshe lavender cloud is my holy grail. Never stop making it," another penned.
