Franco Nero to be honoured with Walk of Fame star at Filming Italy
Nero’s career spans over six decades and more than 200 film and television projects
Italian screen legend Franco Nero, best known for his iconic role in Sergio Corbucci’s 1966 Spaghetti Western Django, is set to be the headline honouree at the 11th edition of Filming Italy - Los Angeles.
The event, which celebrates the creative connection between Italy and Hollywood, will take place from February 10 to 14, 2026.
Nero’s career spans over six decades and more than 200 film and television projects. He has collaborated with cinematic giants including John Huston, Luis Buñuel, Claude Chabrol, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and Quentin Tarantino.
During the festival, Nero will receive further recognition when the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce awards him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Motion Pictures category on February 12.
This marks a significant moment for Filming Italy, which has now celebrated three Italian stars: Gina Lollobrigida in 2018, Giancarlo Giannini in 2023, and now Franco Nero.
