Brendan Fraser promises 'Mummy 4' finally delivers everything fans wanted
The official release date and details for the fourth installment have yet to be announced
Brendan Fraser is finally set to give fans the Mummy movie they’ve been waiting for.
The 56-year-old star gave an exciting update during his chat with the Associated Press that the fourth installment of the beloved action-adventure franchise is officially in the works.
"The one I wanted to make was never made,” he said.
Continuing, "I’m proud of the third one because I think it’s a good standalone movie. We picked up and did what we do with a different crew on deck and gave it our best shot."
The Oscar-winning actor went on to add "But the one I wanted to make is forthcoming. And I’ve been waiting 20 years for this call. Sometimes it was loud, sometimes it was a faint telegraph. Now? It’s time to give the fans what they want."
The film is reportedly set to be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence, the duo behind Ready or Not, the recent Scream reboots and Abigail.
Moreover, plot details and an official release date for the fourth installment have yet to be announced.
