Colleen Hoover makes shocking confession regarding 'It Ends with Us' novel

Colleen Hoover recently made a shocking confession regarding her novel, It Ends with Us.

According to the US Today, Hoover, who is author of her 2016 best selling novel, regrets writing it due to the controversy surrounding its movie adaptation starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

The 45-year-old best-selling author made this shocking admission to new Elle profile, saying, "I can't even recommend it anymore."

Hoover went on to say, "I feel like [the lawsuit] has overshadowed it. I'm almost embarrassed to say I wrote it.

"When people ask what I do, I'm just like, 'I'm a writer. Please don't ask me what I wrote.'"

Her heartbreaking remarks come amid Lively’s legal fight with Baldoni that started in December 2024.

Both starred in the movie adaption which was released last year in August.

However, for months after its release, Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment during the movie production.

The 41-year-old actor, in his response, counter-sued his 38-year-old costar and her husband Ryan Reynolds of hijacking the movie.

However, his $400 million countersuit was formally dismissed by a federal judge in October 2025, although he is able to appeal the ruling.

Their on-going dispute is scheduled for a trial in March 2026.
