The Weeknd marks unprecedented milestone in music
The ‘Blinding Lights’ singer achieves a major first in music history
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, has recently achieved a significant new milestone in his long-standing musical career.
According to Variety, the 35-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter’s After Hours Til Dawn is now officially the biggest tour by a male artist in history.
A press release from Live Nation confirmed that the highly acclaimed tour has grossed over $1 billion and counting since it began in 2022.
With this achievement, the After Hours Til Dawn tour becomes the highest-grossing tour in history for a male artist.
The milestone, which includes The Weeknd's 2026 tour dates, spans 153 shows and 7.5 million tickets, with scheduled performances across North America, South America, Europe, and the UK from April through August.
He expanded his tour the following month with extra dates in Manchester, Copenhagen, Munich, Lille, Barcelona, Lisbon, and an additional Paris show, bringing his run at Stade de France to four nights.
On the charitable side, a share of all 2026 tour ticket sales will help fund education for underprivileged children and provide food for those affected by global hunger through Global Citizen.
The After Hours Til Dawn tour has already raised more than $8.5 million for the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen.
It’s worth noting that The Weeknd's After Hours Til Dawn tour is set to resume on April 20, 2026, in Mexico City.
