Whitney Leavitt praises dance partner Mark Ballas and the experience on the show
Whitney Leavitt shared a heartfelt farewell to the ABC competition Dancing with the Stars after being eliminated just before the show’s season 34 finale.
On Thursday, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star posted a video on social media, capturing her emotional reaction to being cut after the semi-finals, which took place during Prince Week.
In the clip, she expressed gratitude for gaining “a lifelong friend” in her dance partner, Mark Ballas.
“When you are cast on Dancing with the Stars, you are seeing these people hours every single day. Then, it just stops,” The mother-of-three said in the Instagram video.
Leavitt continued, “It genuinely feels like a breakup It feels like I’m going through withdrawals right now. Today just felt so weird it felt so weird not going into the studio and meeting with Mark and learning a dance. It just felt weird, and it made me sad.”
The 32-year-old influencer added, “You grow real friendships and real connections with these people, and you learn so much about yourself, and people uplift you constantly, and you challenge yourself. You just feel so loved.”
"Feeling a roller coaster of emotions, but above all, grateful for @dancingwiththestars & @markballas AND the people in my life who continually believe in my crazy dreams. Love you thank you for all the support during this incredible journey", Leavitt captioned the post.
The elimination followed Leavitt and Ballas’s performances of the cha-cha-cha to Prince’s 1999 and the Viennese waltz to Slow Love, with both dances earning scores of 29 out of 30.
Moreover, the contestants heading into the finale are Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach, Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa, and Robert Irwin and Whitney Carson.
