John Lennon documentary gets exciting update

Documentary about John Lennon, the co-lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the Beatles recently got an exciting update.

According to The Sun, movie director-producer Steven Soderbergh while speaking at a press conference at the inaugural Doha Film Festival, dished out interesting details on his feature documentary.

“I’m excited about it, it’s an incredible historical document, this interview,” said Soderbergh.

According to the filmmaker, his documentary is almost finished.

He went on to say, “I’m not looking to reinvent the form, I’m just hoping to create a film that gets as many people to hear what John and Yoko [Ono] had to say on that afternoon as possible. They were both so free in their discussion.”

For the unversed, his documentary film titled One to One: John & Yoko will document the radio interview with him and artist Yoko Ono that they gave on December 8, 1980, the same day Lennon died.

The documentary also focuses on his first year in New York City and his final concert.

John Lennon died after being shot five times by Mark David Chapman as he returned to his New York City apartment.

The former Beatle co-lead vocalist was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
