‘RHOA’ Kandi Burruss announces divorce from Todd Tucker after 11 years of marriage

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are getting a divorce after 11 years of marriage.

On Friday, November 21, the American actress told PEOPLE that she is officially parting her ways from producer, Todd Tucker.

According to the outlet report, Burruss shared, “After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I have made the decision to move forward with a divorce.

The 49-year-old continued, “This is a difficult and emotional time but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother, I can be and co-parenting with love and respect.”

She further explained, "I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family."

The Underdoggs actress and the 52-year-old first crossed paths in 2011 while filming season four of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

For the unversed, they became engaged in January 2013 and married in April 2014.

Over the years, they welcomed two children together, Ace and Blaze and both also have older daughters from previous relationships, Riley and Kaela.

Despite their split, the estranged couple had often spoken about the strength of their relationship.

In October 2022, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star told PEOPLE that their secret to a happy marriage was "just great communication and having fun together," she added, "We have a real understanding of each other."

Beyond their personal life, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker collaborated professionally as well as they are launching a soul food restaurant chain in Georgia, running a trucking company and starring in a Bravo series focused on their family and business ventures.
