Marvel’s ‘X-Men United’ series sets stage for Mutant action
Marvel’s ‘X-Men United’ series to arrive in 2026
In X-Men United, writer Eve L. Ewing and artist by Tiago Palma, will be taking readingers into Graymatter Lane, a groundbreaking institute where mutants can meet to learn and redefine their furture.
Emma Frost leads the project as its founder, joined by faculty members Wolverine, Magneto, Beast, Rogue and Storm.
However, the concept doesn’t sit well with every mutant, setting the stage for tension within the community.
Arriving as part of Marvel’s upcoming Shadows of Tomorrow era, the debut issue hits shelves on March 11, 2026, featuring connecting A and B covers by Stefano Caselli.
Marvel executive editor Tom Brevoort describes the series’ central role in the line, saying, "X-Men United forms the center point of the mutant world. Steeped in the tradition of series like Astonishing X-Men and Wolverine & the X-Men, Graymatter Lane is a place where all of the major players in the X world will come together to fight, hook up and hash out their differences.”
He added, “There’ll be action, drama, faces old and new and dangers galore. Which young mutant is critically injured on the first day—and which X-Man is responsible? What secret is uncovered in Sinister’s lab? What distance-separated couple rekindles their connection? And how far will Cyclops go to bring the whole endeavor to the ground?"
Eve L. Ewing emphasises that the concept emerged from a collaborative creative process, noting, "The idea for Graymatter Lane was a collective one from lots of writers in a room brainstorming and it's so cool because the psychic space allows for things to be weirder and more surreal while still building on the classic Xavier's School energy we have all loved for decades."
