Paris Hilton celebrates her children’s growing bond with animals
Paris Hilton shares two kids with husband Carter Reum
Paris Hilton’s lifelong passion for animals is something she’s now happily passing on to her two young children, Phoenix Barron and London Marilyn.
During an interview with PEOPLE, the 44-year-old star reflected on how important it is for her to share this love with her family.
Hilton, who shares her children with husband, Carter Reum, explained that they have been surrounded by animals from the very beginning.
"I've been an animal lover my entire life and I think it's so important to really instill that into your children," she said.
The actress added that Phoenix and London have grown up around pets since birth.
"They love them so much and they're so gentle with them and so kind and so loving," Hilton shares, noting how early exposure to animals helps children develop important values.
According to the House of Wax star, introducing kids to pets "really teaches them love, responsibility and empathy as well as being kind and how to take care of something."
Hilton beamed with pride knowing her children share the same affection for animals that she does. "I love that my kids love animals just as much as me," she said.
The socialite is also promoting her new children’s television show, Paris & Pups, which reflects her passion.
A devoted animal lover for decades, the Bottoms Up actress first became known for her bond with Tinkerbell, her teacup Chihuahua who often appeared with her on The Simple Life.
Looking back, she called Tinkerbell her "first love and just my best friend, my sister, my sidekick, my family, my everything."
The beloved dog passed away in 2015, at the age of 14.
For the unversed, Paris Hilton and Carter Reum welcomed Phoenix in January 2023, while their daughter, London, followed later in November that same year.
