King Charles begins preparations for major US trip to be hosted by Trump
King Charles will travel to the US — on one condition
The preparations for King Charles’ visit to the US are currently underway, though travelling entirely hinges on one important condition — the monarch’s health.
According to The Sun, President Donald Trump is planning a “lavish” welcome for the British sovereign during spring next year, which will be accepted if the latter is deemed fit for the journey.
While the King will be “monitored closely in the weeks leading up to the planned trans-atlantic trip”, it is being reported that the Trump administration has already mapped out a few arrangements.
“The royal visit will be a ‘major moment’ in the run-up to the July 4 Independence Day celebrations,” the publication added.
If Charles travels to America next year, he will be invited to visit the White House. The Sun further cited that “sources in both Washington DC and London” have revealed that the White House tour is “being negotiated”.
While Queen Camilla is expected to join King Charles on the trip currently under observation, Trump’s invitation to the British monarchy will coincide with the 250th celebrations of America’s independence.
