Ryan Reynolds welcomes power of ‘dissent’ amid Blake Lively's workplace drama
Ryan Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively is involved in a workplace sexual harassment legal battle with Justin Baldoni
Ryan Reynolds recently praised power of "dissent" at workplace amid his wife, Blake Lively's ongoing workplace drama involving sexual harassment.
According to Daily Mail, the Deadpool & Wolverine actor took part in a discussion at The Wall Street Journal CMO Council Summit last week.
During the discussion, Reynolds revealed that he welcomes employees disagreeing with him, recalling that when starring in movies as a young actor, his mentality was "Yes, sir; no, sir; how high can I jump, sir?' despite having 'strong opinions' that he often kept to himself with workplace politics in mind.
The 49-year-old actor then added that when he's leading projects now, he will "take control" if he is quite sure of something, but still welcome harsh feedback from his underlings during writing sessions.
"I say, here's the s***** version, and I'm saying that because I want dissent," said the Red One actor, adding, "I'm screwed if people start agreeing with me because I'm the boss or something."
His comments on "dissent" at workplace comes amid his wife's on-going legal battle against her It Ends with Us costar-director, Justin Baldoni, whom she has accused of sexual harassment.
On the work front, Ryan Reynolds will soon star in Fast X: Part 2, which is scheduled for release in April 2027.
