‘Dancing with the Stars’ biggest champions over the years: Bindi Irwin, Nicole Scherzinger, and more
Look back at ‘DWTS’ winners after reality contest’s latest crowning moment
Season 34 of the hit reality series Dancing with the Stars has concluded with Robert Irwin and his dance partner, Witney Carson, being crowned its latest winners.
The contest which first began in 2005 has crowned several celebrities over the years, with many cementing their status as the most memorable victors of one of the TV’s most famous dance arenas.
Check out some of the most famous faces to walk away with the DWTS Mirrorball — including one related to the latest winner.
Season 21: Bindi Irwin
Robert Irwin’s elder sister, Bindi Irwin won season 21 of Dancing with the Stars in 2015. Partnered with the show’s regular alum, Derek Hough, Bindi and Robert are the first siblings to take home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Season 10: Nicole Scherzinger
Singer-songwriter and former lead vocalist of The Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger was crowned the tenth season’s winner in 2010, also with Hough as her partner.
Season 2: Drew Lachey
As far as former band members go, Drew Lachey of the 98 Degrees fame joined Scherzinger as another vocalist to win on DWTS in 2006.
Season 11: Jennifer Grey
Jennifer Grey is best remembered for her twirling performance onscreen in the ‘80s smash hit, Dirty Dancing. So it came as no surprise perhaps when she emerged as the winner of DWTS in 2010 and alongside Hough, once again. At 50 years of age, Grey became the oldest woman to become the competition’s champion so far.
Season 19: Alfonso Ribeiro
This year’s co-host, alongside Julianne Hough, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro had also won the show in 2014 — while paired with this year’s co-winner, Witney Carson.
Season 20: Rumer Willis
Rumer Willis, eldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, was the DWTS champion in 2015 alongside Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
Season 26: Adam Rippon
Olympian Adam Rippon won Dancing with the Stars’ only season dedicated to athletes, in 2018. The figure skater who had become a bronze medalist at the Olympics the same year was partnered with dancer and choreographer, Jenna Johnson.
