King Charles is reportedly set to leave his youngest son, Prince Harry, out of the plans for his upcoming state visit to the United States.

According to The Mirror, the British monarch is scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House in the coming months.

However, Charles will not be stopping by Montecito, California, to visit Harry and his family during his highly anticipated trip.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the publication, "State visits are incredibly busy. The schedule is worked out months in advance and is tightly packed with carefully curated engagements designed to enhance bilateral relations."

She added, "There is very little downtime, and I can’t think that the King would fly across the whole country to visit Harry and his family in California."

"I’m sure Charles would love to meet his grandchildren again, and so I suppose it’s conceivable that the Sussexes could take a flight to New York, or wherever the King and Queen are based, for a brief reunion,” Jennie noted.

"But visits like this are about as official as it can get, and it’s really not a time for patching up severely strained family relationships.” she continued. “A meeting would also inevitably draw the headlines away from the purpose of the visit.”

Just like every year, discussions have begun about whether the Sussexes will join the royal family in Sandringham for their annual Christmas celebrations.

Notably, multiple reports indicate that Prince Harry has been keen to participate in such events, particularly to support his father amid his cancer diagnosis.
