Kate Middleton will honor Late Katharine Duchess of Kent nearly
The Duchess, who passed away in September at the age of 92, was the wife of Prince Edward
Princess of Wales Kate Middleton will commemorate the late Katharine, the Duchess of Kent, at her annual Christmas carol service on December 5 at Westminster Abbey.
Kensington Palace confirmed that the program will include performances by young musicians from Future Talent, the music charity the Duchess co-founded in 2004 to nurture gifted children from low-income backgrounds.
The Duchess, who passed away in September at the age of 92, was the wife of Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, a cousin of Queen Elizabeth.
For this occasion, Princess Kate invited young performers from the music charity Katharine co-founded to take part in “Together at Christmas.”
The decision to spotlight Future Talent is deliberate, reflecting Katharine’s lifelong devotion to music and education.
She had a deep love for music throughout her life, and according to some reports, even worked as a music teacher.
This year’s service, themed “love in all its forms,” arrives at an intimate moment for the Princess, who earlier in 2025 revealed she is in remission from cancer.
The Late Katharine legacy takes center stage this holiday season in the royal spotlight.
