Charlie Puth finally breaks silence on ‘Wicked’ audition buzz
The ‘Attention’ singer responds to viral post about ‘Wicked’ auditions
Charlie Puth recently put to rest the ongoing speculation about auditioning for the highly acclaimed Wicked films.
According to Us Weekly, the 33-year-old singer has set the record straight and revealed that he did not, in fact, audition for the blockbuster film series.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, November 29, Puth cleared the air once and for all after a fan account shared a list of artists who were rumoured to have read for roles in the two-part movie.
“I never auditioned for Wicked I would be so bad lol,” he jokingly wrote.
The list included some A-listers musicians of Hollywood such as Jennifer Lopez, Shawn Mendes, Renee Rapp, Katy Perry, Harry Styles, Amanda Seyfried, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Dove Cameron, Lea Michele and Jessie J.
On the personal front, Puth and his wife, Brooke Sansone, announced they are expecting their first child in October 2025.
The couple, who got married on September 7, 2024, revealed the pregnancy through a clip in the music video for his song Changes, which features Charlie Puth gently placing his hands on Brooke Sansone baby bump.
