Rihanna disappointed her fans with unconventional fashion choice at the 2025 Gotham Awards.

On Monday, December 1, the Diamonds hitmaker made an avant-garde fashion choice while accompanied by her boyfriend A$AP Rocky at the start-studded event in New York City.

Rihanna was seen wearing a lilac drop waist gown from Balenciaga by Pierpaolo Piccioli, featuring a long train.

The mother-of-three completed her look with a matching hat, black leather gloves and an elegant purple necklace.

She left her dark locks down while she opted for a nude makeup look.

Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky went for a sleek black Chanel suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and striped tie.

He completed his look with black leather boots and diamond studded earrings.

Soon after their appearance on the red carpet, her fans were left divided, with some criticising her while others praising her fashion choice

One fan wrote, “But no, but what is this hat...?? Didn't have to and what a shame for the dress, which is beautiful!”

“You didn’t need that hat that would make your head look huge to cover up the payment on your face. I wish the feathers were included in the dress,” another added. (Sic)
