King Charles is expected to face a parliamentary inquiry next year over the lease agreement that allowed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to live at Royal Lodge, the Windsor estate he has occupied for decades.

The move follows renewed scrutiny of Andrew’s position and the terms negotiated with the Crown Estate, according to PA Media.

Andrew has been asked to leave the 30-room property before his long-term agreement expires, due to ongoing controversy surrounding his association with Jeffrey Epstein.

He is expected to move out in 2026, but questions remain about the structure and oversight of the lease itself.

The House of Commons Public Accounts Committee on Tuesday released letters from the Crown Estate and HM Treasury responding to inquiries about how Andrew’s arrangement was handled.

Committee chairman Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown said the exchange was part of a broader effort to increase transparency around the management of taxpayer-linked assets.
