Queen Camilla has appointed a new equerry a day after her former aide, Major Ollie Plunket’s resignation became public.

Stepping in for the former equerry, who managed to capture social media’s attention multiple times since his own appointment, is the 29-year-old Major Rob Treasure.

According to GB News, “Earlier this year, Major Treasure successfully completed The World's Toughest Row with his partners Charlie Newman and Rob Cross, who are also serving British Army officers.”

For context, Major Plunket’s resignation was discovered via The Court Circular’s entry on November 30.

“Major Oliver Plunket was received by The King and Queen this morning upon relinquishing his appointment as Equerry to Her Majesty when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order,” the official communication had revealed.

Queen Camilla’s former staffer made a memorable splash with royal followers when he was spotted decorating the Christmas tree at Clarence House with the help of his sword, in December 2024.
