Luann de Lesseps knows what it feels like to weather a public storm, and now she’s extending that hard-earned wisdom to someone in a similar spot - Sarah Ferguson.

In a conversation with Fox News Digital, the Real Housewives of New York City alum spoke candidly about her own history with public scandals and why she feels compassion for the former Duchess of York, who is once again facing scrutiny over ex-husband Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

“I feel for her, and I feel for the daughters as well,” de Lesseps said. “It’s a very hard thing to go through. Hold your head high because there’s going to be talk. It’s not pretty.”

Prince Andrew has long faced sexual assault allegations linked to his association with Epstein, a controversy that continues to cast a shadow over his family.

She said the pressure on Ferguson and her daughters is unfair, stressing that they carry no responsibility for Andrew’s actions.

“They’re going through a major crisis, and it’s really about holding your head high and knowing that it’s not their fault,” she said.

“What happened with Andrew is not their fault. This is all happening behind their backs.”

de Lesseps married Count Alexandre de Lesseps in 1993, a member of the French nobility. The two went their separate ways in 2009 after sixteen years together.
