Prince William and Princess Kate are facing backlash from some locals over restrictions placed around Forest Lodge, their new Windsor mansion.

According to Newsweek, the couple’s move has sparked tension in the community after neighbors complained about a newly enforced no-go zone around the property.

Locals say the area now comes with warnings about trespassing and possible arrests, and even the nearby Christmas tree farm has been affected causing visitors to take a detour of nearly a mile.

Anti-monarchy activist Graham Smith told the outlet the couple should not have been allowed to close public roads or restrict access to land that “isn’t theirs.”

He also claimed two families were relocated within the park to accommodate the move.

Smith accused the Prince of Wales of “grabbing land” and showing disregard for the community.

“It’s just an abuse of power and privilege for me,” he further said.
