Amazon’s Jeff Bezos meets UAE president during official visit

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos met UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during an official visit to Abu Dhabi, marking a significant moment in the tech giant’s growing engagement with the region.

During the meeting held at Qasr Al Shati, Bezos and the UAE president discussed expanding cooperation in innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced technology. 

Both sides highlighted how these tools can be integrated across key sectors, including healthcare, education, and the wider economy, to accelerate national development and improve overall quality of life.

Bezos praised the UAE’s forward-looking approach and its commitment to embracing future technologies, noting that the country has rapidly positioned itself as a global hub for digital transformation and investment. 

The discussion also explored potential collaboration between Amazon and UAE institutions in areas such as AI research, digital infrastructure, and next-generation tech solutions.

Senior officials including Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Khaldoun Al Mubarak were present, underscoring the high-level importance placed on the partnership.

As Amazon deepens its global strategy, the meeting signals growing alignment between Bezos and the UAE president on innovation-driven development.
