Andrew Scott set for TV return with Lisa Kudrow in ‘The Comeback’ Season 3
Season 3 follows Valerie, played by Kudrow, cast in the first sitcom ever written by AI
Andrew Scott is heading back to TV with ‘The Comeback’!
The All of Us Strangers star has joined the cast of HBO’s The Comeback for its third season, according to Variety. The new season is set to premiere in March 2026.
Scott will play the head of a studio, stepping into the world of Valerie Cherish, the beloved character played by Lisa Kudrow.
The returning cast includes Dan Bucatinsky as Valerie’s publicist, Laura Silverman as reality-show producer Jane, and Damian Young as Valerie’s husband, Mark.
This new chapter comes with a timely twist. Season 3 follows Valerie as she’s cast in the first sitcom ever written by AI.
Creator Michael Patrick King says the concept pushed the team to explore deeper ideas about the technology.
“The joke that AI is bad has already been done,” King explained.
“We wanted to look at what happens if AI learns fast, and how people try to stay ahead of it. It feels like a real moment,” he added.
