The monarch shares a lovely moment with Princess Kate during a German state banquet
King Charles views his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton with deep affection, warmth, and an unmistakable sense of pride, reflecting a bond rooted in mutual respect and genuine love.
The monarch shared a lovely moment with Princess Kate during Wednesday’s German state banquet at Windsor Castle.
Photographs captured inside St George’s Hall show the 77-year-old monarch gazing fondly at the Princess of Wales, who was seated beside him.
According to Hello!, the two are known to share a close bond.
When Kate began dating Prince William during their university years at St Andrews more than two decades ago, she spoke fondly of her early introduction to the royal family.
In her 2010 engagement interview, she recalled, “I was quite nervous about meeting William’s father, but he was very, very welcoming, very friendly. It couldn’t have gone easier really for me.”
The German state banquet marked another example of their close relationship. The pair were seen deep in conversation with students practicing life drawing.
In addition, their bond has only grown stronger following personal health challenges in early 2024, when both Charles and Kate received cancer diagnoses within weeks of one another.
After Kate revealed her condition in a personal video message, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said Charles was “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did,” per Hello!.
