Blake Lively recently made bombshell claims regarding direction of It Ends with Us in which she starred in a leading role.

According to US Weekly, documents revealed on Thursday, December 4, that the 38-year-old actress and her legal team argued that Colleen Hoover, the author of novel It Ends with US, originally planned for a woman to direct its movie adaption.

According to Lively, the author was “reluctant” to hire a man to direct the film adaptation before eventually agreeing to let Justin Baldoni take the helm.

The documents also claimed that before the 41-year-old director-actor was on board, Hoover explicitly requested that a woman direct the film.

The on-going legal fight between Lively and Baldoni began in December 2024, when she sued him for sexual harassment and starting a smear campaign against the actress.

In his response, Baldoni counter-sued his costar and her husband of hijacking his movie, which was released in August 2024.

However, his lawsuit was later dismissed in by judge in October this year.

A trial between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is scheduled to begin in March 2026.
