Miley Cyrus opens up about her phobia at ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ show
Miley Cyrus shocking confession comes after her engagement to Maxx Morando
Miley Cyrus recently revealed a shocking phobia during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! just days after her engagement to Maxx Morando.
The singer appeared on the show on Thursday, December 4, to promote her new song Dream as One for the upcoming sci-fi film Avatar: Fire and Ash, releasing December 19, 2025.
During a chat about Christmas gifts, Kimmel asked how hard it would be to buy something for her.
The Flowers songstress made a shocking admission, telling the host she's terrified of papers.
“Well. Christmas. I'm known as a little bit of a Grinch because I have a qualm with Christmas,” Miley said, prompting Kimmel to ask what she meant.
she admitted, “I hate paper!” adding “Like looking at that makes me wanna vomit. Don't even do it.”
Listening to Cyrus’ response, the 58-year-old comedian moved a piece of paper on the desk, the wrecking Ball hitmaker exclaimed, “Moving, it is worse.”
She explained, “And then the real problem for me with paper is when people have dry hands and they touch paper. And then it's Christmas and it's cold and everyone's hands are dry and they're all touching paper.”
Cyrus added that even letters from fans go unopened, saying, “When someone sends me like a lovely letter. I just don't even open it. I love text message, no paper, email, no paper, phone call, no paper. It's the paper. I can't even talk about it.”
When asked if she could read a newspaper, the Adore You singer simply said, “No. It’s a phobia.”
Miley Cyrus unexpected confession left Jimmy Kimmel shocked, highlighting an unusual fear for the Grammy-winning singer shortly after her engagement to Maxx Morando, whom she has been dating since 2021.
