Kate Middleton faces shocking setback ahead of Christmas Carol Service
A major change has been made to the schedule of the royal event hosted by Princess Kate
Christmas Carol concert which will be hosted by Kate Middleton has faced an unexpected setback after Hannah Waddingham had to cancel her appearance.
The 51-year-old English singer and actress had to withdraw her name due to intense filming commitments leaving her with strained vocal cords.
Although the Ted Lasso star won’t be performing, she will be present at the ceremony, while Zak Abel takes over to perform Silent Night instead.
Marking its fifth consecutive year, the concert continues the cherished tradition of Together At Christmas.
Set at Westminster Abbey, the event has been carefully planned over several months by the Princess of Wales.
It is designed to bring people together for a heartwarming celebration, incorporating traditional carols with musical performances and reading throughout the evening.
The service on December 5th will display an impressive selection of musical acts and guest speakers.
The ceremony will see special performances from singer-songwriter Katie Melua, sea shanty group Fisherman’s Friends, and artist Griff.
Hollywood A-listers like Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor will go on to give readings during the ceremony, joined by comedian Babatunde Aleshe and Heartstopper actor Joe Locke, with pianist Paul Gladstone Reid accompanying the speakers.
For the unversed, Hannah Waddingham is not only known for her roles in the sports comedy Ted Lasso, Fall Guy, Game of Thrones and Sex Education but is recognised for her music as well like, Red Shoes Blues, Our Kind of Love and more.
