Meghan Markle’s communication claims shot down by Thomas Markle
Meghan Markle’s team recently claimed that she had ‘reached out’ to her dad post-surgery
Thomas Markle, father to Meghan Markle, has claimed that he never heard from his estranged daughter despite one of her representatives claiming earlier that contact was established post his surgery.
The former TV director recently underwent a leg amputation surgery after the discovery of a potentially fatal blood clot.
Following the harrowing news, a spokesperson for the Sussex camp had told the press that the Duchess has “reached out”.
“I can confirm she has reached out to her father,” the statement, shared on Friday, December 5, had revealed.
However, Thomas has shot down the claim, reiterating that he would like to see his daughter “one more time before I die”.
The Telegraph reported, “He said he dreamed of seeing Prince Harry and his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet ‘before it’s too late’.”
He further claimed that the recent reports about Meghan’s e-mail “confused” him since he has not received any communication from her side.
“It was claimed that the e-mail was sent to an address he had not used for five years, but sources said it appeared to have been delivered and did not bounce back,” the report continued, adding that “Meghan’s aides” have responded to the claims with the clear notion that if Thomas “is willing to share a different address, it will be forwarded on.”
Meanwhile, a surgeon working on his case shared, “We had to remove the foot. There was a massive blood clot in his thigh and that had stopped circulation to his foot and lower leg.”
“It was life-or-death surgery. Had the infection in the foot moved to his heart, it would most likely have been fatal. He is doing well but he is not out of the woods yet,” it was added.
Meghan Markle has been estranged from Thomas Markle since 2018, around the time she married Prince Harry, after her father was found to have staged paparazzi shots of himself preparing for his daughter’s royal wedding.
