Miley Cyrus, who recently got engaged to her longtime partner Maxx Morando, has shared a positive update on her godmother Dolly Parton’s health.

In a candid conversation with Entertainment Tonight at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the 33-year-old singer revealed that the 79-year-old music icon is doing much better after facing multiple health challenges.

"She’s always gonna keep the show going, the show must go on. She’s just excited to get back to work," Cyrus added.

Dolly’s health became a topic of concern after she skipped an event announcing Dollywood’s new Night Flight Expedition ride.

At the time, Dolly had explained in a video message, "Hello Dollywood! It’s me. I know — and I’m here, and you’re there. And you’re wondering why that is? Well, I had a little problem."

"I had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems, it turned out it’d given me an infection, and the doctor said, 'You don’t need to be travelling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better," the Jolene songstress shared.

It is worth noting that Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton also share distant family ties, as the country icon is the seventh cousin of Billy Ray Cyrus’s eldest son.
