Prince Harry desperate to see King Charles for Christmas as identity crisis grows
The Duke of Sussex struggles with identity in the US as insider claims he feels “lost and lonely”
Prince Harry is reportedly struggling with loneliness despite his firm decision to cut ties with the royal family in 2020.
According to a recent report by Closer, an insider has claimed that the Duke of Sussex is feeling “lost and lonely” in California.
"Prince Harry has never felt more adrift than he does now. He's devoted to the children, yet quietly wrestling with a sense of displacement that has only grown deeper as the year draws to a close,” the source revealed.
The confidant added, "Harry's world has shrunk dramatically. While the public sees a man smiling through appearances and charity work, the reality behind closed doors is far more fragile. Harry clings to Meghan because he's got nobody else. It's not love he's lacking – it's a life of his own."
While Harry has faced challenges adjusting to life in the US, the source insisted that his wife, Meghan Markle, has no concerns about him returning to the UK.
For those unversed, the Duke and King Charles met for private tea at Clarence House in September 2025 – their first encounter in 19 months.
A tipster told the outlet last week that Harry is "adamant" about spending Christmas with his father.
"Harry is on tenterhooks waiting for the go-ahead to visit at Christmas and is adamant that he needs to be with his father any chance he gets," the insider concluded.
