Miley Cyrus gives details about romantic proposal from fiancé Maxx Morando

Newly engaged Miley Cyrus is sharing the details of her intimate proposal from drummer Maxx Morando.

During an interview with Good Morning America on Wednesday as the Flowers singer revealed that Morando got down on one knee during a recent trip to Asia.

“I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered,” Cyrus explained.

“And I’m telling you, I was so, so surprised," the 33-year-old singer and actress added.

The pop star also showed off her new 14-karat gold engagement ring, praising her fiancé, Morando, “did good.”

The cushion cut stone was designed by jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche and Cyrus first publicly showed it in mid November.

The engagement was officially revealed just a day after Page Six reported that Cyrus and Morando were engaged after four years of dating.

Rumours had been circulating for weeks but the couple’s appearance at the world premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Los Angeles on Monday confirmed the news.

The Something Beautiful star proudly displayed her new ring while walking the red carpet as she sparked excitement among fans and media.

Moreover, Cyrus and Morando first met on a blind date and their romance gradually blossomed and in November 2021, she soft launched their relationship by including him in an Instagram carousel featuring photos from Gucci’s Love Parade fashion show.

The following year, the Hannah Montana alum confirmed their relationship when the couple was seen sharing affectionate moments in Los Angeles.

By February 2024, People reported that the two were living together and taking a serious step in their partnership.

“Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy,” an insider told People. “She is very happy with him. He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her.”
