A horse racing club is remembering Queen Elizabeth with a meaningful cause dedicated to her this holiday season.

According to GB News, “Those seeking a distinctive Christmas present with a charitable purpose may wish to consider purchasing a stake in a racehorse honouring the late Queen Elizabeth II.”

With the annual fees for the racing stallion, named Thank You Ma’am, being £80, £40 from the amount paid near Christmas will go towards Brain Tumor Research.

“The syndicate has set an ambitious target of raising more than £100,000 for the charity through this festive initiative,” the report added.

Rupert Adams, owner of The Posh Pundit Racing Club, reflected on the decision while speaking on BBC Five Live.

“My takeaway was that there is real hope and progress being made, but brain cancer appears to be a forgotten cancer,” he explained. “I said there and then that if I can make a difference I will. Racing is my love, life and passion and if I can combine the two then I’m a happy man.”

Queen Elizabeth was also a well known admirer of horses and enjoyed a significant interest in horse racing during her lifetime.

She is known to have bred nearly 100 racehorses, one of whom was inherited by King Charles in September 2022, with around 30 of the thoroughbreds “sold within a few weeks of her death,” per The Guardian.
