Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s blossoming romance has reportedly strengthened significantly following their vacation in Japan.
For those unversed, the former Canadian Prime Minister joined the 41-year-old pop icon in Japan as she concluded The Lifetimes Tour.
According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, the couple are looking forward to taking their relationship to the next step, shortly after they went Instagram official on December 6.
"The only reason this turned into something real is because Justin has been so persistent. She wasn't looking to date when they first hung out and she certainly wasn't looking for a boyfriend,” an insider revealed.
The confidant added, "He's shown her over and over again that he genuinely wants to see her. He's flown all over the world to spend time with her while she toured. She likes spending time with him. She's flattered that he's made such a big effort and she's excited to be dating him."
It is worth noting that Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have been romantically involved since July 2025, after being spotted together in Montreal, Canada.
