Leonardo DiCaprio opened up about the rare moments early in his career when he found himself completely starstruck.

In a candid interview with TIME, which named him Entertainer of the Year, The Revenant star revealed that two legendary actresses left a lasting impression on him.

They are none other than Hollywood's finest icons of their generation, he named Meryl Streep and Diane Keaton, who gave the Titanic star goosebumps.

He reflected on 1996, a breakthrough year for him with Romeo and Juliet and Marvin’s Room, and recalled working with the Hollywood icons.

“Both of them were incredible, but I loved Keaton especially,” DiCaprio told TIME.

“She had the most incredible laugh. It would echo through the entire set, and she made you feel like the funniest person in the world. I mean, burst-out-loud laughing.

“ I’ll never forget it. I kind of lived to make her laugh every day on set, because it was so infectious. She was incredible.”

DiCaprio also paid tribute to Keaton following her passing on October 11 at age 79. Sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram, he wrote:

"Diane Keaton was one of a kind. Brilliant, funny, and unapologetically herself. A legend, and icon, and a truly kind human being”.

He added, “I had the honor of working with her at 18. She will be deeply missed."
