King Charles ready to share powerful personal message on cancer
King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024
King Charles has prepared a heartfelt broadcast message for Stand Up To Cancer, which the audience will get to watch on December 12, at the Charity's major 2025 fundraising event.
In his message, the 77-year-old Monarch will seemingly highlight how cancer screening programmes are important and can enable life-saving early diagnosis.
Charles will also open up about his own experience, and reflect on his journey to recovery after being diagnosed with undiclosed type of cancer back in February 2024.
The emotional message will air as a part of Stand Up To Cancer 2025, a joint initiative by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.
Initiated on December 5, the campaign will run for a week aiming to increase public knowledge of screening as well as fund cancer research and help patients.
After the King’s message, Davina McCall will host a special live segment from a cancer clinic at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
The programme will feature stories from patients, doctors, and researchers on the frontlines of cancer treatment and care.
King Charles’ decision to address the public on screening and early diagnosis comes after almost two years of outpatient cancer treatment at a private hospital.
