Kate Middleton weighs reconciliation with Meghan Markle during difficult time

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton may be seeking reconciliation amid years of strained relationship.

According to the Daily Express U.S., the Princess of Wales is considering taking the lead by setting aside her differences with the Duchess of Sussex and reconnecting with her.

Despite past tensions following Meghan’s move to the US with Prince Harry after stepping down from royal duties in 2020, Kate is reportedly willing to let go of long-standing differences for the sake of the royal family’s unity.

Following reports of the Suits actress’s estranged father undergoing leg amputation surgery, palace sources say that the future queen is ready to forgive the Duchess after a series of past revelations.

"She's more than ready for the healing to begin with Meghan and knows someone has to make the first move. So, she's decided it might as well be her," a source told Heat magazine.

The insider continued, "It’s not that Kate doesn’t still have resentment towards Meghan – she doesn’t trust her and has no plans to be close friends."

However, the tipster further claimed that Kate sees reconciliation between Prince William and Harry as possible only "if she and Meghan were able to find some common ground."

It is worth noting that the last documented public meeting between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton was in March 2020 at the Commonwealth Day Service.
