Prince Harry has done ‘too much damage’ to ‘fully return’: Royal commentator claims

Prince Harry recently secured a reassessment of his protection needs in the UK after initially losing the appeal for it back in May.

However, a royal expert believes that it may be too late for the Duke of Sussex to consider the latest development a victory.

“He is desperate to be seen as the happy-go-lucky prince people once adored, but I think too much damage has been done for that image to fully return,” royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told The Mirror. “With the Sussexes, actions speak louder than words, and Harry’s recent behavior does not support the idea that he genuinely wants to return to the fold.”

She further singled out Harry’s appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show and the subsequent jab he aimed at the American president as “a misjudged attempt at a viral moment that risked complicating the royal family’s relationship with President Trump.”

“None of this sounds like a man who is eager to reconcile or work collaboratively with his family. It feels irresponsible,” Schofield added.

The YouTube host also claimed that it appears the 41-year-old prince “wants more visibility in the UK because it allows him to look like a royal on the global stage”, though without the responsibility his elder brother carries.

“I also think there is real resentment over not being treated the same as his brother. But Prince William has devoted his life to the Crown. Harry walked away from that responsibility,” said Kinsey Schofield.

It was announced earlier this month that Ravec, a royal committee, will reassess Prince Harry’s security requirements for the first time since 2019.
