"It's my melasma," she said. "I take care of it and treat it, but yeah it's there."
The Calm Down singer added, "I totally get it. It's from the sun," urging her followers to use sunscreen.
Selena’s video has sparked concern and speculation among her fans on social media with many commenting that "something is off" while sharing their observations about her physical appearance and behaviour.
One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Her whole vibe is so weird now…. love her but something is clearly off.”
“Why does she talk like she’s on 10 muscle relaxers,” another added.
A third user commented, “It’s the surgery and botox.”
Another fan penned, “It’s the fact that we can’t see a wrinkle and the brows brushed like that, hair aint helping tho.”
For those unfamiliar, Melasma is a skin condition that causes brown or blue-gray patches, typically on the face, neck, back and arms.
According to Cleveland Clinic, it can be triggered by sunlight, radiation or hormonal changes, including exposure to ultraviolet, visible light or infrared (heat) light.
