It: Chapter Two actor James Ransone tragically died at the age of 46.

According to the US Weekly, the late actor died by suicide on Friday, December 19.

As confirmed by County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner records, the V/H/S/85 actor was found dead at a property in Los Angeles.

Ransone, best known for playing Ziggy Sobotka in The Wire, had previously been candid about being a survivor of sexual abuse.

The late actor back in 2021 claimed that a former tutor abused him for months as a child while growing up in Phoenix, Maryland in 1992.

According to the Prom Night actor, the alleged abuse led to “a lifetime of shame and embarrassment” contributing to his struggled with alcohol and drugs at that time.

However, Ransone, whose final film appearance was in Black Phone 2, revealed that he got sober in 2006.

The Mr Right performer also saved a woman from being raped outside his apartment in New York back in 2020.

At that time, he studying for an audition when he heard someone crying out for help and grabbed a metal bar before running outside and confronting the attacker.

James Ransone is survived by his wife, Jamie McPhee, and their two children.
