Father shot by son in front of wife day after Christmas

A father was shot by his own son in front of his wife just one day after Christmas.

Officers were called to a home near East Lake Golf Club and Charlie Yates Golf Course on December 26, where they found the man injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, Atlanta police have said.

Police say the father had only just returned home with his wife when he was confronted by his son.

An argument followed, and the son allegedly pulled out a gun and shot him.

At this stage, arrest charges are still pending as investigators continue their work.
