Beyoncé achieves billionaire status ahead of new year

Beyoncé has been declared a billionaire by Forbes, joining her husband, Jay-Z, in the newly published list.

BBC reported that the singer-songwriter joins “an elite group of musicians with 10-figure fortunes,” which also includes her peers like Taylor Swift and Rihanna.

The business publication had estimated Beyoncé’s net worth around $800 million earlier this month, while she was soon expected to achieve billionaire status.

Forbes counted The Renaissance World Tour in 2023 and the release of her debut country album, Cowboy Carter, in 2024, among the two most prominent ventures which contributed to her latest accomplishment.

While she became only the fifth musician — besides Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and Jay-Z — to enter the billionaire list.

Besides her successful career as an entertainer, Beyoncé further owns multiple business empires, which includes Ivy Park (clothing), Cécred (hair care), and SirDavis (whiskey label).
